the INTERWOVXN podcast

The podcast was created to explore the ways we interweave all of the parts of ourselves on our journeys as women. Through story and conversation, we want to celebrate, support, and embrace it all.

We believe in the power of connection, that we have the right to understand our bodies, and that we can change the narrative…from menstrual health, fertility, motherhood, peri/menopause, identity, intimacy and beyond to ease the transitions that mark the path.

In today’s episode Theresa talks with Gina Barrington and Maggie Poppert, the founders of Wide Eyed Bride, a boutique collective of top rate makeup artists and stylist for weddings and special events… they are also two of her longtime friends. As it happens when they get time together they dig into how they are experiencing their relationships, their health and bodies, motherhood, their businesses and more. They talk about what aging feels like and looks like in their 40s, dating in midlife, what aging means for women’s social currency, and aging and the idea of freedom from past restraints and worries. Gina and Maggie share what it’s like working in and navigating the beauty industry, how they support brides on their wedding day, social media and environmental influence on beauty standards, and the emergence of AI in the beauty and commercial markets. They also talk about their experiences with their hysterectomies and what self regard means to them.
